On March 6-7, Shero Designs hosted a Web Technology seminar with our partners Integrated Enterprise Solutions. If you were unable to sign up for this educational seminar, I am pleased to announce that there is another upcoming similar event. This seminar will be held at IBM in Poughkeepsie on May 7, 2013 and is presented by the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce’s IT Committee. Along with a colleague, I will be presenting “Web and Video 101”.
The seminar on web and video, geared toward the novice, will go over some of the best practices of Internet Marketing. Topics that will be discussed are: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Email Marketing, Pay Per Click (PPC), what is the best way to build a business website, and demystify web video concepts as compression, formats, codecs, frame rate, bit rate and resolution.
By the end of the seminar you will know YouTube as an application – how to create an account, browse and upload a video. An overview will be provided of video editing software that is either free or already installed on many computers. Consideration will be given to alternatives to YouTube.
You will also be able to help yourself get found online by customers who are specifically seeking your information and products. Knowing how to choose the right website construction technologies, what email marketing software best fits your needs, running Adwords campaigns, and better optimizing your website will give you a competitive advantage in todays business world.
All of this by attending the 2013 DCRCOC IT Committee’s Web & Video 101 seminar. The event is free for Chamber members, but if you are not a member and you sign up with Shero Designs, we will cover your cost of admission, just contact us directly. To get more information and sign up today through the Chamber, visit Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce’s website here with any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
