Introduction

The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) is a top-ranked, global, nonprofit provider of leadership development. For the last 50 years, they’ve ardently focused on leadership development, education, and research, having worked with organizations of all sizes from around the world. As a leadership organization, CCL knows that first impressions are everything. And that’s why they knew they needed to invest in a better functioning, better looking website to represent their online store, and their overall brand.

Goals

The organization had multiple goals centered around site functionality and user experience. To start, they’d need to migrate from iApps to Magento 2 to ensure their store had mobile capabilities. By integrating Microsoft Dynamics365 and VitalSource (for eBooks), they could streamline internal processes. Plus, better reporting, improved SEO, international selling, and the ability to easily share products for sale on social media would foster the ultimate goals of building brand awareness, increasing revenue, and providing a better client experience for both US and international site visitors.

Approach

After a deep discovery process, which included an onsite visit to truly understand the brand, our team was able to migrate existing data onto a customized Magento site, designed with optimized SEO and vibrant brand aesthetics. On several occasions, our team was required to think outside the box to find solutions that went above and beyond the client’s needs. Creating our new integration between Magento 2 and Dynamics365 was a big undertaking; team members Gabriel and Nafie helped to architect and test this solution with the CCL team.

Results  

With a new simplified back-office reporting and sales processes that uses fewer systems, the organization can now focus more on promoting their services and products, as well as managing event registrations in an efficient way. The customer experience is elevated by the addition of sharpened eCommerce capabilities to create a more enjoyable shopping experience, including single sign-on, coupon and shipping options, optimized product pages, and a more streamlined checkout flow across devices.
