Shopify Bundles Setup Services

Bundles fail when inventory does not decrement correctly for each component, when the discount conflicts with active promotions at checkout, or when the setup cannot handle the catalog's variant count. Most bundle configurations that lift AOV in testing break in one of those three ways at scale. Shero builds bundles with correct component inventory sync, discount stack logic, and the right bundle type for the catalog structure.

Average order value increase reported after bundle implementation

Stores that implement product bundles correctly report an average 17% increase in average order value. The operative word is correctly: bundles that present the discount prominently before checkout, display component-level availability accurately, and offer meaningful product combinations rather than arbitrary groupings produce measurable AOV lift.

Distinct bundle types available on Shopify in 2026

Fixed bundles, multipacks, mix-and-match, build-your-own, BOGO, frequently bought together, and subscription bundles are the seven bundle types available on Shopify in 2026. Each requires different configuration, different inventory logic, and in some cases Shopify Functions on Plus for correct behavior. Choosing the wrong type for the catalog structure is the most common setup error.

Client Retention

98% of Shero's clients stay on retainer after their project closes. Bundle configurations require updates when new products are added to bundle sets, discount structures change, or seasonal bundle offerings rotate in and out of the catalog.

Shopify

Premier Partner

Shero holds Shopify Premier Partner status, one of fewer than 150 agencies globally. Bundle setups involving mix-and-match with B2B pricing tiers, Shopify Functions for cart transform logic, or subscription bundles require the same platform depth as complex Shopify Plus implementations.

Since partnering with Shero Commerce, our eCommerce revenue has grown by 200%. Their support and solutions have been game changers for our business.

When Shopify's native app is enough and what the setup involves

Shopify's native Bundles app covers fixed bundles and multipacks within a 100-variant, 30-product limit. Beyond that, mix-and-match bundles, B2B pricing tiers, and subscription bundles each require a different tool or architecture. The full setup involves:

  • Shopify native Bundles app setup for fixed bundles and multipacks
  • Third-party bundle app selection and configuration for mix-and-match and build-your-own
  • Component-level inventory sync configuration to prevent overselling
  • Bundle discount setup with correct stacking logic against other active discounts
  • B2B bundle pricing via Shopify Functions for wholesale-specific bundle pricing
  • Bundle page design and PDP layout for component selection and discount presentation

Why brands work with Shero on Shopify Bundles setup

Shero selects the correct bundle type and tool for the catalog structure before any configuration begins, so inventory sync and discount logic work correctly from the first order.

01

Bundle type selected based on catalog structure, not default recommendation

Fixed bundles, multipacks, mix-and-match, and build-your-own are not interchangeable. A gift set with three specific products is a fixed bundle. A sampler where the customer picks any three from twelve options is mix-and-match. Using the native Bundles app for a mix-and-match requirement produces a broken experience when variant limits are hit. Shero maps the catalog structure and selects the bundle type and tool before any configuration begins.

02

Component inventory sync configured to prevent overselling

When a bundle sells, each component must decrement from its own inventory pool in real time. A bundle that sells three units of Product A and two units of Product B must trigger the correct inventory reduction for both. Incorrect inventory sync is the most common operational failure in bundle setups. Shero configures and tests component-level inventory sync across all bundle types before go-live.

03

Bundle discount logic configured not to conflict with other active discounts

Bundle discounts applied as a fixed amount or percentage can conflict with automatic discounts, discount codes, and volume discounts running in the store at the same time. Shopify's discount stacking behavior determines whether the bundle discount and a concurrent promotion add together or cap. Shero maps the store's discount architecture before configuring bundle pricing to prevent checkout edge cases that appear only during promotions. For complex stacking logic, this connects to the Shopify Functions development work for the store.

04

Wholesale bundle pricing via Shopify Functions for B2B accounts

Wholesale buyers purchasing bundles need to see their account-specific pricing on bundle components, not the retail bundle price. Shopify's native Bundles app does not support B2B catalog pricing at the bundle level. A custom discount Function reads the company account data at checkout and applies the correct wholesale pricing to each bundle component. Shero builds this as part of the B2B architecture for wholesale brands running bundles.

05

Subscription bundles require a separate architecture from standard bundles

Shopify Bundles and most bundle apps cannot be combined with selling plans. A bundle offered on subscription requires either a subscription app that natively supports bundle logic (such as Recharge's bundle feature) or a custom architecture that separates the bundle component selection from the recurring billing layer. Shero scopes subscription bundle requirements in discovery rather than attempting to combine two incompatible app architectures.

06

Bundle product page designed to surface the discount before the add-to-cart

The conversion impact of a bundle depends on whether the discount is visible and clear before the customer decides to add it to cart. Component images, individual prices, bundle price, and savings amount all need to be presented at the point of decision. Most default bundle app templates show the bundle price without the individual product prices it compares against. Shero designs the bundle PDP to make the value of the bundle legible before checkout.
