Hreflang URLs must be canonical URLs. If your hreflang points to a URL that redirects or has a canonical pointing elsewhere, Google ignores the hreflang signal. Language codes must use ISO 639-1 format and region codes must use ISO 3166-1

hreflang="en-uk" is wrong. The correct code is hreflang="en-gb". hreflang="en-au" is correct for Australia. Wrong language or region codes cause Search Console to flag hreflang errors and Google to ignore the affected tags.
