What the migration from Shopline to Shopify involves

Shopline's product fields, URL structure, and custom content blocks do not map directly to Shopify. Any field not audited and mapped before the import runs is lost during the migration. To ensure a smooth migration, the process involves:

  • Shopline product catalog export and import to Shopify with custom field mapping to metafields
  • Customer record and order history migration
  • URL mapping and 301 redirect configuration for SEO preservation
  • SEO metadata, structured data, and H1 tag structure verified and transferred
  • Third-party integration reconnection to Shopify's API
  • B2B wholesale and account architecture on Shopify Plus where required

Third-party integrations rebuilt on Shopify before Shopline is decommissioned

Email platforms, ERPs, fulfillment systems, and analytics tools connected to Shopline need to be rebuilt against Shopify's API before the old store goes offline. Data field structures between the platforms differ, and some integrations require custom development on the Shopify side. Shero maps integration requirements in discovery and rebuilds them in parallel with the store build, so operations do not depend on keeping Shopline live past go-live day. Shopline lacks native B2B functionality equivalent to Shopify Plus Companies, Catalogs, Quotes, and Net Terms.
