WMS & fulfillment integration

Overselling, delayed fulfilment, and inaccurate stock counts are integration problems, not warehouse problems. Shero connects Shopify to Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, ShipBob, and Radial for brands managing owned warehouses and 3PL operations from one Shopify admin.

What a Shopify WMS and fulfillment integration actually covers

Shero builds WMS and 3PL integrations for brands running high-order volumes, multi-location warehouses, and B2B fulfillment workflows in which the same SKU ships to both dealer accounts and direct consumers from the same stock pool.

• Cin7 + Shopify\n
• ShipBob + Shopify
• ShipStation + Shopify
• ShipHero + Shopify
• Extensiv (Skubana) + Shopify
• Custom WMS via API or iPaaS

Why high-volume and B2B brands work with Shero on WMS integration

Fulfilment integrations that work for 100 orders a day fail at 1,000. The difference is usually error handling, sync frequency, and whether the integration was designed for the actual order mix, not a demo scenario.

01

Inventory sync designed for your actual SKU and channel mix

Inventory sync between WMS and Shopify fails when the data model mapping is skipped. ERP integration is often in scope alongside WMS work because the two systems share inventory data at different points in the supply chain.

02

Order routing logic for B2B and DTC fulfilment from the same warehouse

For hybrid brands, B2B wholesale orders and DTC retail orders often ship from the same warehouse but follow different pick, pack, and carrier rules. Shero configures the order routing logic so that B2B purchase orders go to the correct fulfilment workflow and DTC orders follow a separate path, without the warehouse team having to manually sort them.

03

Tracking data and fulfilment status returned to Shopify automatically

The outbound side of the integration is as important as the inbound side. Shero builds the return flow so that when the WMS marks an order as shipped, the tracking number and fulfilment status update in Shopify and trigger the buyer notification automatically. No manual tracking entry, no delayed customer emails.

04

Peak volume handling for seasonal and promotional order spikes

Sarris Candies processes high order volumes during peak confectionery seasons. Shero designed the WMS integration sync architecture to handle order bursts without queue failures or inventory lag. Sync frequency and error handling are configured for peak load, not average daily volume.

05

3PL integration for brands using external fulfilment providers

Brands using third-party fulfillment providers need the same data flows as brands with owned warehouses — orders in, tracking out, inventory current. OMS integration sits above the WMS layer for brands that need order routing logic across multiple warehouses or 3PL providers.

06

Error handling that surfaces failures before they become customer problems

A WMS integration that silently drops a failed order creates a customer problem two days later. Shero builds error logging, retry logic, and alerting into every integration so that failed records are flagged and retried automatically, and your ops team is notified before a customer contacts support.

How Shero builds Shopify WMS and fulfillment integrations

01

Discovery: Order Flow and Inventory Mapping

We document how orders move from Shopify to the warehouse and how inventory moves back. We map your channel mix, stock allocation rules, B2B and DTC fulfilment differences, carrier requirements, and the data your WMS needs to route and process each order type correctly.

02

Architecture: Sync Design and Routing Logic

We design the integration architecture: order routing rules, inventory sync frequency, stock reservation logic, return flow for tracking and fulfilment status, and error handling. For multi-channel or multi-location setups, we design the allocation logic explicitly before build begins.

03

Build: Integration Development and Configuration

We build the order-out and inventory-in flows against the Shopify API and the WMS API or connector. Error logging, retry logic, and sync monitoring are included in the build. For peak-volume scenarios, we configure sync frequency and queue management for load, not just average daily volume.

04

UAT: Fulfilment Cycle Validation

We run test orders through the full cycle: order placed in Shopify, routed to the WMS, fulfilled, tracking returned, Shopify updated, buyer notified. We test edge cases including partial fulfilment, backordered items, and concurrent high-volume order batches.

05

Launch and Ongoing Support

Go-live includes monitoring for the first fulfilment cycles and a runbook for your ops team covering how to identify sync errors, handle failed orders, and manage inventory discrepancies. Shero provides ongoing support for platform updates and business changes that affect the integration.
