Introduction

Nuts on Clark is a Chicago mainstay known best for their iconic flavored popcorn, nuts, and treats, produced fresh at multiple locations. As a long-established family-run business, in-store customer experience has always been important; their goal was to offer the same level of top-quality service online to customers across the US.

Goals

The previous website was a custom PHP build that needed an upgrade and lacked user-friendliness. Our goal was to create a better user experience with a simplified design that stayed true to the brand. The client also wanted to integrate an option that would allow customers to make bulk orders via CSV, which would allow for easier purchasing of corporate gifts.

Approach

We approached design with customer experience in mind, choosing a simplified theme that was easy to navigate and visually driven. This is especially valuable for a brand like Nuts on Clark, given how appealing their flavored popcorn tins and various other treats appear. Since they are already well-established locally, we made an enhancement to their SEO based on general best practices to increase their broader reach.

Results  

In addition to the updated design, theme and the basics, the new website features one of our most complex customizations on BigCommerce that we’ve done to date, where customers can upload addresses on a CSV to complete bulk corporate gift orders.
