Broken revenue attribution is the most common HubSpot Shopify problem

HubSpot may attribute revenue to offline integration or show duplicate deal values when orders sync incorrectly. This happens when the deal pipeline is not configured before the integration is turned on, or when guest checkout creates Contacts that do not match existing records. Shero configures attribution settings and the Shopify Orders deal pipeline before any data flows.

Lifecycle stages only work when they are mapped before sync starts

HubSpot lifecycle stages (Lead, Customer, etc.) should update automatically when a Shopify order is placed. When lifecycle stage mapping is skipped, all Shopify customers land in HubSpot at the same stage regardless of purchase history. Shero maps lifecycle transitions to Shopify purchase events during setup so segmentation and automation work from day one.

Custom field mapping requires Data Hub Starter

The native Shopify Data Sync does not support custom field mapping on the free HubSpot plan. Syncing Shopify tags, metafields, or non-standard customer properties into HubSpot custom properties requires Data Hub Starter at $20/month. Shero confirms your HubSpot plan covers the field mapping you need before the integration design is finalised.

Abandoned cart automation needs correct sequence timing

Abandoned cart flows are among the highest-value automations for Shopify brands. HubSpot receives cart abandonment events from Shopify in real time, but the recovery sequence timing, offer logic, and suppression rules for existing customers all need to be configured. Shero sets up the full abandoned cart sequence alongside the integration configuration. Shero also builds email and SMS connections for integrations that span multiple systems.

Multi-store brands need separate pipelines and property sets

HubSpot supports multiple Shopify stores on one account, but each store's orders and customers need separate pipelines and tracking to avoid mixing data across brands. Shero configures store-specific pipelines and property groups so reporting reflects each store's performance accurately.

Shopify metafields are not supported by the native sync

The native HubSpot Shopify connector does not sync Shopify metafields. Brands that store B2B account data, product attributes, or custom customer properties in metafields need either a middleware layer or a custom API connection to get that data into HubSpot. Shero scopes the right approach based on what metafield data you need in your CRM.
