Judge.me Reviews Setup for Shopify Stores

Reviews should reduce buyer hesitation, but most Shopify stores collect them too late, display them where shoppers miss them, and fail to use them across Google, TikTok, Meta, and email. Shero configures Judge.me so reviews are requested at the right time, shown in the right places, syndicated across sales channels, and used to build trust where it directly supports conversion.

Shopify stores using Judge.me

Judge.me runs on 500,000+ Shopify stores with 35 million reviews collected across 38 languages. It became Shopify-exclusive in January 2026, concentrating all engineering and support on building the deepest possible Shopify integration. Every feature update since then is Shopify-specific.

2x

Response rate improvement when requests fire after delivery, not fulfilllment

Review request timing is the single highest-impact configuration decision in Judge.me. Requests that fire after confirmed delivery rather than fulfilllment consistently produce double the response rate. Judge.me integrates with AfterShip, ShipStation, and Rush to trigger requests on actual delivery events rather than the fulfilllment timestamp.

98%

Client Retention

98% of Shero's clients stay on retainer after their project closes. Judge.me configurations require maintenance as product catalogs expand, variant structures change, and review widget placements need updating when themes are redesigned.

Shopify

Premier Partner

Shero holds Shopify Premier Partner status, one of fewer than 150 agencies globally. Judge.me configurations involving product grouping across complex catalogs, Klaviyo review event flows, and structured data for AI-assisted search require platform and marketing depth to implement correctly.

Working with Shero Commerce for the past three years has been a game changer for our B2B eCommerce business. Their expertise in website support and eCommerce strategy has significantly improved our online presence.

What Judge.me does and what the setup actually requires

Judge.me helps Shopify brands collect reviews through email and SMS, display them across key store pages, syndicate ratings to Google, TikTok Shop, and Meta, and connect review data to Klaviyo, Gorgias, and loyalty tools. The setup involves:

  • Judge.me installation and review request automation with delivery-triggered timing
  • Widget placement on product pages, collection pages, and homepage in conversion-optimized positions
  • Product grouping configuration for catalogs with variants split across separate listings
  • Google rich snippets and Google Shopping review syndication
  • Klaviyo integration with review events for post-purchase and loyalty flows
  • AI review summary setup and Q&A configuration on Awesome plan

Why brands work with Shero on Judge.me setup

Judge.me is easy to install and cheap to run. Most stores underuse it. Shero configures the timing, placement, and Klaviyo integration that determine whether the reviews it collects actually change purchase behavior.

01

Request timing set to fire after delivery, not fulfilllment

Judge.me's default fires review requests at a fixed interval after fulfillment, which for most carriers means before the product arrives. Shero connects request timing to AfterShip, ShipStation, or Rush delivery events so requests fire after confirmed delivery. Response rates improve significantly and the reviews that come in reflect the actual product experience rather than a customer who has not yet opened the box.

02

Widget positions chosen where buyers convert, not where they are easy to add

A review widget below the fold on a product page collects reviews but does not convert buyers. Placement at the purchase decision zone, between the product images and the add-to-cart button, or as a star rating badge on collection page cards, is where reviews produce conversion lift. Shero places widgets informed by heatmap and session data rather than default widget positions.

03

Product grouping for catalogs with variants split across separate listings

Stores that split colorways or size ranges into separate Shopify product listings create a review fragmentation problem: a product with 20 reviews split across five listings shows 4 reviews each. Judge.me's product grouping (Awesome plan) aggregates reviews across related listings. Shero configures grouping rules by Shopify tag, product type, or manual selection for catalogs where variant architecture creates this problem. This connects directly to the catalog and product page structure work for the store.

04

Google rich snippets and Shopping syndication configured correctly

Judge.me generates JSON-LD structured data for product reviews that enables star ratings in Google search results and Google Shopping listings. Correct configuration requires the structured data to match Shopify's product URLs and update as new reviews arrive. Shero verifies rich snippet implementation in Google Search Console after setup so star ratings are confirmed as appearing before handover.

05

Klaviyo integration with review events as retention triggers

Judge.me passes review events to Klaviyo: review request sent, review submitted, and reward coupon issued. Each is a trigger for a different flow. A five-star review triggers a loyalty or referral nudge. A three-star review triggers a support outreach. A no-response after two requests triggers a re-engagement sequence. Shero maps these flows in discovery and builds them alongside the Judge.me setup rather than as a separate engagement.

06

AI review summaries and Q&A configured for high-traffic product pages

Judge.me's AI review summary widget, launched December 2025 on the Awesome plan, generates a brief synthesis of review themes that appears at the top of the reviews section. For products with 50 or more reviews, this reduces the cognitive load of reading through individual reviews before deciding. Q&A lets customers ask product questions that are answered by the brand or other buyers. Shero configures both on high-traffic product pages where review volume justifies them.

Invisible Bead Extensions®

Working with Shero Commerce on our migration from WordPress to Shopify was honestly such a pleasant experience. We’d been on WordPress for five years with tons of content and very specific styling, and moving all of it into one cohesive Shopify site was no small feat — this was a genuinely complex, highly technical migration. But they pulled it off on deadline with zero errors and zero issues. Their team showed up with everything we needed: a project manager, multiple developers, marketing leads, email specialists, and CRO experts, all coordinated through dedicated meetings and a real task management system. They also designed several high impact conversion pages so our digital presence didn’t just function better — it looked beautiful too. Since migrating, we’ve seen an increase in revenue thanks to having one simplified, cohesive platform. I’m so grateful for how seamlessly they executed this, and I’d recommend Shero Commerce to anyone facing a migration like ours.“
